(on grounds of Lord of Life Lutheran Church)

Come enjoy your favorite coffee beverage and some home-baked goodies! NC musician Keith Howard will present a special guest set. He's a wonderful guitarist and singer/songwriter I met a couple of years ago while playing in the Raleigh area. "Keith Howard's style is reminiscent of the driving rock-roll of 60’s pop. He was brought up on the Beatles and CSN&Y, and cut his teeth on the Kinks, the Byrds, and King Crimson. Keith says some of his songs are serious, some are for fun, and some are subliminal. If you’ve ever been run over by a jumbo 12-string guitar in the NC Triangle, there's a good chance it was Keith’s." You can find out more about Keith at www.soundclick.com/bands/1/thegreatuntitledtour.htm or at www.ncsongwriters.org/artists/howard.

Growing up in NC, Jennifer Licko was a premier Scottish Highland Dancer and that passion initiated her love for the Scottish arts. She has studied and lived in Scotland and Ireland, and has been performing at festivals and Celtic venues all over the Eastern US, Canada and the Netherlands. She has released three albums and is currently working on her next CD of Celtic Lullabies.

****Opening for the Wailin' Jennys!!!****
From their site: Looking at the current incarnation of the Jennys, soprano Ruth Moody, mezzo Nicky Mehta, and alto Annabelle Chvostek, it would seem like few groups could be so perfectly aligned, by fate or by design. It is no wonder that music critics are inclined to phrase their descriptions in honeyed phrases. The Jennys, music reviewers say, make music that is "lush," "luscious" and "sweet." Their masterful three-part vocal harmonies are "haunting" and they "shimmer." More...
